Chillicothe, Ohio — Circleville High School marched back into the spotlight at Pickaway-Ross
Career & Technology Center’s 17th Annual Battle of the Bands on Friday, September 5,
delivering a standout performance to earn this year’s top honors.
After missing last year’s event, Circleville made a powerful return, securing the trophy in front of
the largest community turnout the competition has seen in years. Unioto High School claimed
second place with their rendition of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance, while Chillicothe High School,
the reigning back-to-back champion, finished third with a crowd-pleasing selection from Pirates
of the Caribbean.
“This event is one of the highlights of our school year,” said Janet Barrows, Career Development
Coordinator and Battle of the Bands organizer at Pickaway-Ross. “It’s exciting to see our partner
schools bring so much energy and talent to our campus, and the support from families and
community members makes it even more special.”
Pickaway-Ross extends its thanks to all the participating bands—Adena, Chillicothe, Circleville,
Huntington, Southeastern, Paint Valley, Unioto, Westfall and Zane Trace—for showcasing their
talent and school pride.
