It's a great time to be a Tiger!

Because of the incredible success of our CHS Varsity Boys Basketball team, we’re making a small schedule change so our Tiger community can keep cheering them on! They will play for the regional semi final on Wednesday, March 11th at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio!

The Board of Education meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday will now take place Tuesday, March 10 at 7:00 PM in the CHS Alumni Room.

We’re proud to support our student-athletes and the excitement they’ve brought to Tiger Nation. Thank you for your flexibility—and for always showing what it means to be a Tiger!

Let’s keep the momentum going and continue cheering on our Tigers! 🏀🐅

Mrs. Downard and Mrs. Johnson’s CES second graders are mastering their Portrait of a Tiger competencies by focusing on perseverance! Students created and practiced positive affirmations to use when learning feels challenging — reminding themselves (and others!) to keep going.

Working in teams, they wrote, illustrated, and shared their affirmations with other classes, spreading encouragement throughout the school. Their impact didn’t stop there! As part of their community outreach, students decorated coffee sleeves with positive messages for Joy House Coffee right here in town.

At last week’s Coffee Chat, Dr. Halley and her team saw the project in action — and even received their own uplifting coffee sleeves! ☕✨

When our Tigers learn to persevere, they don’t just grow themselves — they lift up everyone around them!

Attention Tiger Families: We would like to share our plans about the current weather conditions.

The snow storm is expected to leave our area between 12:30pm and 1pm. Therefore, we believe the safest situation is for students and staff to remain at school until normal dismissal times.

This decision will allow snow removal crews additional time to clear this morning's snowfall from roads and parking lots. Special thanks to our maintenance and custodial teams, who are working hard to clear the recent accumulation. We would also like to thank the City of Circleville for sending a team of plows who are currently working to clear campus streets! We appreciate your patience as buses will be running a bit slower during afternoon drop offs.

Again, Circleville City Schools is NOT planning to do an early release today. Thank you for trusting us with the safety of your children. Go Tigers!

❄️ Community Update: Returning to School Monday and we need your help! ❄️

Circleville City Schools intends to return to school on Monday after a week off due to the significant snowfall and extreme cold. In addition to the frigid temperatures, many of our closures were necessary because of the conditions at bus stops, where safety is always our top priority.

We are incredibly thankful for the round-the-clock work of our city maintenance crews. The snow removal efforts and tireless hard work across our community have been amazing to witness and are helping Circleville get back to business as usual.

As we prepare to welcome our Tigers back, we are asking for the help of our community with clearing sidewalks and areas around bus stops in front of your homes, so students can safely wait for their buses.

Thank you for your continued support of our Tigers. It truly takes a village. 🖤🐯❤️

As we wrap up School Board Appreciation Month, we are honoring our Board members by sharing the “why” behind their service. Recently, we asked each member to share what inspired them to run for a seat on the Board and serve our district.

Thank you to our Board members for the time, leadership, and heart you give to Circleville City Schools. We appreciate you not just in January—but all year long! 🖤🐾
