2020 Relaunch & Safe Start Guide

Last night, the board of education approved the district’s much anticipated Relaunch and Safe Start Guide. This document will serve as a resource for our families as to general principles and guidelines to be expected for students who will be on campus starting August 25th. The guide can be found on the front page of CirclevilleCitySchools.org and will be mailed to families in the coming week for your convenience.

In recent months, we have solicited your feedback and suggestions in the form of multiple family surveys to gauge parent attitudes and beliefs when it comes to reopening our schools. We have also been working closely with local health officials when it comes to interpreting state and federal health guidance as it pertains to COVID-19. After taking all of that information into consideration, the task at hand still remained daunting, but our mission was and is clear - educating kids in a way that makes them safe, especially the most vulnerable of those around us in terms of students and staff.

Each household in our district holds their own core beliefs and values when it comes to safety so our families will see a great deal of flexibility in how they decide to have their student learn this school year whether families send their students back to school in person to follow these guidelines or by keeping them home and learning through our new Tiger Remote Learning Option.

Moving forward, we are aware that there will be many follow up questions on student specific functions in schools from arrival to departure.

In between, I would like to thank each member of our Tiger Family for their patience and understanding as we awaited the delayed Governor’s announcement this past week. We are in a time like no other when it comes to combating this pandemic in our shared partnership to raise the next generation. Now more than ever, communication will continue to be a vital part of how we relay information to families. We encourage you to stay connected with us at CirclevilleCitySchools.org, linking up with us on social media, and downloading the CCS app and the TigerTalk Podcast for the latest news and notes from around the schools. Stay safe and Go Tigers.
