PTB MEETING
The next meeting of the Mound Street Parent Teacher Boosters (PTB)
will be on Thursday, November 29, 7:00 p.m. Final financial information
from the fall fundraiser will be discussed along with the purchase of
playground equipment. We are still collecting box tops from General
Mills products. Our school receives 10 cents for every box top collected.

RECESS
As colder weather approaches, Mr. McFerin will use the following criteria
for whether we go outside or stay inside for recess:
1. Temperature: The wind chill factor is the biggest consideration. If the
temperature/wind chill is 25 degrees or lower, we will stay inside.
2. Condition of the blacktop: The area should be free of snow and/or ice.
3. Often we will stay inside for recess in the morning, but be able to go
outside in the afternoon as the temperature rises.
4. Please dress you child for outside recess, and continue to work with your
child on how to button/zip the coat. Thank you!
5. If you need your child to stay inside due to a cold or not feeling well, a note
must be written to your child's teacher.

READING SIGHT WORD LIST
As you can see at the top of this newsletter, your child's goal for November
and December is to recognize at least 8 of the 25 sight words we use in
kindergarten. Please continue to work with your child on knowing these
very important words:
