Making a Difference,
You see
problems everywhere, and sometimes you ask yourself, "How
can I, as a young person, make a difference?" Your
opportunity has arrived. The Circleville City Schools
Foundation is providing each of you with $10.00. With
this money, do something for someone. You may decide
that someone is you, and keep the money for yourself; you may
decide to donate it to an organization of your choice; you may
decide to join forces with a classmate or a group of classmates,
and tackle a problem; you may decide to ask for matching donations
from friends, family, and/or community members. Use your
imagination, and see how far this $10.00 can go. Make
a difference in your community.
Upon completion
of the assignment, you will be asked to write a reflective essay
on this experience. The Circleville City Schools Foundation
may ask to use your essay for some form of positive publicity.
Good
luck, and have fun with the assignment. I look forward
to your results.
