Enlisted Sep 91’ and
after Basic Military Training I started my career as Survival Equipment
specialist (glorified name for a parachute rigger)
Served for 5 years in that
job at Shaw AFB Sc. Until I heard my calling to be an Air Force Recruiter.
I was an enlisted accessions
recruiter for four years in Hamilton Ohio and was named “Master
Recruiter” and was selected as one of the top 10 recruiters for
the Air Force.
I career progressed in recruiting
and transferred to Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio as an Operations Non-Commissioned
Officer (NCO) where I tracked enlistment numbers for OH,WV, and Northern
KY.
After three years I became
the Flight Chief (area Supervisor) In New Orleans La. for all the AF Recruiters
in Southeast Louisiana. I only served two years there due to Hurricane
Katrina, and Rita’s devastation. I lost seven of my nine offices.
I then transferred to Little
Rock AFB Ar, where I was the Operations Flight Chief. I was in charge
Air Force accessions in Ar, La, and Ms.
After those two years the
Air Force decided to close my unit so, here I am back in Ohio at Wright-Patt
AFB in Dayton Ohio.
